Description
The 2.4-liter Hyundai G4KG or Grand Starex 2.4 gasoline engine has been produced since 2007 and is installed on a wide range of commercial vehicles, including Starex minibuses. There is a gas version of this unit with a capacity of 159 hp under the index L4KB or 2.4 LPi. In 2007, a 2.4-liter engine for rear-wheel drive models appeared in the Theta I line, which differed from a similar unit with the G4KC index in the absence of a block of balancers. The rest of the design is identical: there is an aluminum cylinder block with cast-iron liners, a 16-valve head without hydraulic lifters, an inlet dephaser and a timing chain drive. Also, the G4KG motor has a different intake manifold and of course without a geometry change system. Theta 2.4L family: G4KC, G4KE, G4KG, G4KJ, G4KK. The engine was installed on: Hyundai Starex 2 (TQ) since 2007.
