Dodge Ram 1500 2009-2010 5.7L V8 Aluminium Oil Catch Can

Product Overview

This aluminium oil catch can is listed for the Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7-litre V8. A catch can sits in the crankcase ventilation line and collects oil mist and vapour before it can be drawn back into the intake. Reducing this oil build-up helps keep the intake tract cleaner, which is why catch cans are a common addition for owners who tow, work their trucks hard or simply want a tidier engine.

Key Features and Benefits

• Traps oil vapour from the crankcase ventilation system
• Helps limit oil deposits in the intake
• Aluminium body that is light and corrosion resistant
• Standard size intended to suit the engine bay of the listed truck
• Easy to drain during routine servicing

The supplier states this catch can suits the Dodge Ram 1500 from 2009 to 2010 fitted with the 5.7L (345 cid) engine. This fitment is supplier-stated and not independently verified. Installation and Usage

Installation usually involves mounting the can securely in the engine bay and routing the ventilation hoses so vapour passes through the can before returning to the intake. Hoses should be kept clear of hot and moving components. Check and drain the can regularly, especially in cold weather when condensation builds up faster. If you are unsure about the hose routing, have a mechanic complete the fitment.
