ANTI-PINCH FUNCTION RESET (GENERAL GUIDE)

If your vehicle uses a window motor with an anti-pinch or one-touch function, the motor may require resetting after installation. Follow your vehicle-specific service information where available. As a general guide:

• Install the regulator and motor into the door and connect the one-touch switch.
• Do not operate or test the motor before it is installed in the door.
• Operate the window to the top position. If the glass drops after reaching the top, a reset is required.

Typical reset steps:

• Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly so the glass moves slightly up to the top.
• Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch up for 3–5 seconds at the top position.
• Step 3: Press the window switch briefly so the glass moves slightly down to the bottom.
• Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch down for 3–5 seconds at the bottom position.
• Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to raise the window fully and confirm it no longer drops at the top.

If the window still drops after reaching the top, repeat the procedure until the function is correctly set. Refer to the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions where applicable.
