PRODUCT OVERVIEW

This new electronic throttle body is designed as a direct replacement for selected Ford 1.6L petrol applications. It controls engine intake air volume to help maintain stable idle, smooth acceleration and optimal performance.

INSTALLATION NOTES

• Professional installation is strongly recommended.
• Install on the intake manifold with a new seal ring and gasket.
• Tighten mounting bolts in a cross pattern to 8–10 Nm torque.
• Reconnect all electrical connectors, intake piping, coolant hoses and vacuum lines securely.
• Do not use a throttle body that has been dropped or shows collision damage.

IDLE RELEARN & SELF-ADAPTATION

After replacing or cleaning the throttle body, an idle relearn (throttle adaptation) procedure is required. Follow the latest instructions in the official vehicle service manual or scan tool procedure.

• Ensure all electrical loads are off during basic setting.
• Coolant temperature should be above 80 °C.
• Battery voltage should be above 11 V.
• Transmission selector in P (Park).
• Do not press the accelerator pedal during automatic basic setting.

Some vehicles may allow manual initialization via an ignition key sequence. Procedure can vary by model; always refer to manufacturer-approved information.

SAFETY & HANDLING

• Allow engine to cool before disconnecting coolant hoses to prevent burns.
• Avoid damaging the intake manifold flange sealing surface.
• Protect the throttle electrical connector from moisture and debris.
• Verify there are no coolant or vacuum leaks after installation.
