INSTALLATION & IDLE RELEARN

After replacing or cleaning the throttle body, an idle relearn (throttle adaptation) procedure is required so the engine control unit can correctly calibrate throttle position.

BASIC INSTALLATION GUIDELINES

• Install on the intake manifold with a new seal ring and/or gasket
• Tighten mounting bolts using a cross pattern; typical torque 8–10 Nm unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer
• Reconnect all electrical connectors, vacuum lines, water pipes, and intake ducting
• Ensure the flange surface and sealing areas are clean and undamaged
• Allow the engine to reach operating temperature and check for leaks

Avoid using any throttle body that has visible impact damage. Protect the electrical connector from moisture and contaminants during installation.

USAGE NOTES

• Do not press the accelerator pedal during ECU basic setting unless specified in the service procedure
• Confirm battery voltage is adequate and all non-essential electrical loads are off during adaptation
• After installation and relearn, verify stable idle, normal throttle response, and that the engine warning light is off
